 Special Delegation of the ICF-BSE College of Fellows
to Travel to China in April
On 6-9 April 2010, a special delegation of the International College of Fellows, Biomaterials Science and Engineering (ICF-BSE) met with Chinese Fellows in Beijing and Chengdu to provide informal advice and guidance to successfully organize the 9th World  Biomaterials Congress, to be held in June 2012 in Chengdu.
Another purpose of the meeting was promote cooperation, ensure visibility and establish an international student exchange.

Opportunities for International Exchange
The International College of Fellows is leading the effort to facilitate the internationalization of biomaterials science education through short-term student exchanges. Biomaterials education is being fostered among young scientists through international exchanges from laboratories within the United States and Singapore, The Netherlands, Portugal, France, and Poland.
Opportunities for international graduate students are available for short-term residency at the Kohn Lab at the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials in Piscataway, New Jersey. Students must be currently enrolled in a relevant Ph.D. program and must meet the insurance, funding, and visa requirements of Rutgers University.
Students who are interested in this program should send his/her CV to Melissa Aranzamendez. CVs should be accompanied by a cover letter and the following:
- areas of interest and/or proposed project
- time and duration of visit
- three academic references
Eligible candidates will be requested to participate in a telephone interview and provide three original, signed letters of recommendation from their academic advisors and references.
